Q: Do BID-plus take any percentage from the bookings?
A: Absolutely not. After you pay your annual subscription fee you will not have to pay BID-plus another dollar.
Q: Are the payments for winning bids collected by BID-plus?
A: NO. All payments are made directly by the winning bidder to you directly. When someone places a winning bid your hotel will receive an email with all the details of the bidder and the bid contents. You then contact the bidder directly and complete the booking with them using your usual direct payment systems.
Q: How do I embed the module into my own web pages?
A: In your admin there is a section called 'Get your BID-plus Code'. With one click you will generate a snippet of code to give to your webmaster. He can then add this code wherever you want to display your bidding module on your hotel website. It should take him no more than a few minutes to add the code. You only ever have to add this code once. We are very happy to assist at any time. Just get in touch and our tech team will get back to you.
Q: Are there any limits to the number of packages, rooms or services I can create?
A: There are absolutely no limits. No limits to the number or types of packages, rooms, services or products you can add. No limit to the number of dates in the year that you can attach these items to. No limits to the number of sales per day, per week or per year.
Q: Is it possible for there to be more winning bids than items I have on offer?
A: NO. Because you add the number of units available in your own admin your bidding module can only display the number of units remaining for bidding. Each time a unit is successfully sold then the number of units remaining on offer will be reduced. You can easily make more units available by adding more to your bidding table.
Q: Can I edit the number of units available and the reserve rate once I add them to my bidding module?
A: You have 24 hour, 7 day total access to your admin area. Here you can edit, delete or add any details of your bidding offers. You can change the title, description, the number of units available, the reserve rate, the dates that offers are avaialble on. You have total control at all times.
Q: Can I use the bidding module for more than one hotel?
A: No. You must purchase a separate bidding module for each of your hotels. If you have a large number of hotels and need to know how to get organised with BID-plus please use the contact tab above and we will get straight back to you.
Q: How can I get support for BID-plus if i need it?
A: We have a full support system. When you are logged into your admin area you will see a link 'Get Support' in the top right block. Click on this link and it will take you through to BID-plus support where you can open a ticket with the appropriate department. We answer these tickets as soon as possible and the ticketing system enables us to keep a complete record of people's support requests. The support section also contains a knowledge base that addresses some of the more frequent requests for assistance. The knowledgebase will be expanded as we receive support requests and we urge you to search this knowledgebase before submitting a ticket as most answers will be found here.
